I don't know how I have had double-coated dogs for over 30 years and did not know about these rakes but they are a must-have! Make short, quick strokes to make it more comfortable for the dog if the coat is a little matted. Long strokes pull more and should only be used once mats are worked out. I'm so glad I finally found these! It's durable and works well and my dog mostly enjoys it, and he is not one to like to be messed with.
We go through a lot of brushes, cleaning gloves with our dogs. This has been one of the easiest ones to use. Eady to hold and clean. I can toss it in the dog travel pack with no issues. I am guessing the dogs like it as they lay still with ease while being groomed. That alone is a plus!! Unlike the brushes that pull long hair. The package came on time, no damage. I would recommend.
Highly recommended for long coat pets. This dematting brush is great. I have a long haired German Sheppard that is shedding all the time. He's a house dog so that's a problem. The brush removes loose hair very easily without hunting the dog. This brush would not work very well for a short haired dog, so be sure of which brush you are purchasing. I use the brush about every three days and it's made a big difference.
